Capital of Himachal Pradesh, the popular hill station is situated in North India. Shimla was earlier known as ‘Simla’ when India was under the British rule. This hill station is located in the Middle Western ranges of Himalayas. The British called this place as “Queen of Hill Stations”. Shimla derives its name from "Shyamala"- the goddess Kali.
